3 Practical & Healthy Ways to Process Your Anger

When it comes to anger, we all have different ways of dealing with it. Some people will scream in order to let it out, while others are good at suppressing it. But just like any other emotion, anger should be processed healthily as well. In this article, I have mentioned a few healthy ways to process anger. Let’s take a look:

1.    Write About Your Feelings

When you write about your feelings and read them out loud, it can help you understand where your anger is coming from and how you can deal better with it. If you are not sure where it is coming from, or you have trouble dealing with it, you can share the writing with your friends or other people as well. But if you feel sensitive about sharing your feelings with others, you can become an anonymous blogger as well and can get feedback on your writing without being judged. There are a lot of platforms out there that let you share blogs anonymously.

2.    Calm Down

One thing an angry person does not want to hear at all is “calm down.” When you tell an angry person to calm down, they will feel like their emotion is an overreaction, and it is not important. But calming down means calming your mind so you can think clearly. You do not necessarily need to suppress your anger completely. You just have to act fairly and make no mistake showing a bit of anger is a healthy sign. If you do not control your anger, you can make some poor decisions that you will regret later on. And it is not the most efficient way of managing your anger.

3.    Talk it Out in A Healthy Way

If you are angry because of a person, then the best thing you can do is talk to them. You need to express yourself in front of them, but in a healthy way. Especially if the person is a family member or a close friend. But make sure you use this option as a last resort. Talking like this regularly to your friends and family can emotionally drain them.
