The VoYS programme helps research scientists in the early stages of their career to get actively involved in public debates about science.

The network helps young researcher, scientists, medics and engineers in the early stages of their career to get actively involved in public debates about science, particularly on contentious subjects. 	Workshops Our media workshops are for post-grads, post docs, or equivalent in first job, who are passionate about science and want to communicate research to a wider audience. They combine discussion about science-related controversies in media reporting with practical guidance to help younger scientists make a greater contribution to public debates. (more...)

VoYS latest project

VoYS joined up with other early career medics and researchers working in developing countries to send a letter to the World Health Organisation, calling for the body to issue a clear international communication about the inappropriate use of homeopathy for five serious diseases.

We run Standing up for Science media workshops throughout the year for early career scientists and engineers. Find out more and read reviews by previous attendees here.
